Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

Permanent, government program to help low-income households pay for internet and connected devices, such as laptops or tablets.

  • Up to $30 per month discount on internet or up to $75 per month if you live on tribal lands
  • One-time $100 discount per household on purchasing a device

A Texas family of four qualifies for the program if their household income is less than $55,500 per year. How to apply:

  • Ask your current internet provider if they participate in ACP
  • Call ACP at (877) 384-2575

 

Providers Low-Cost Programs

Ask your current internet service provider if they offer basic low-cost connection options for low-income households. The monthly cost for these programs ranges from $10-$25. Combining these with ACP means you will have free home internet! The eligibility requirements for these programs usually include qualifying for government assistance programs such as SNAP or National School Lunch.
